Gemini sits in her room, by a wooden desk, completing various applications

Next to her lies a small closed box in the shape of a treasure chest.

"Phew", she sighs, stretching out her limbs. A few papers fall to the ground.

"Time to treat myself to come hot cocoa", Gemini surmises after the small pause in her work. She opens the tiny chest.

Inside reveals a scattering of gold and silver coins along with a small golden cat tribute and semiprecious stones. Despite the treasure, peeks of wood can be seen. "Huh, my savings are getting low...", Gemini thinks aloud in a bit of a cold sweat.

"Well I still deserve a treat for getting all this done." she reassures herself. She picks up a coin and eyes it lovingly, before placing her attention to the paperwork.

"Quiet you!" Gemini points at the silent stack of unfinished applications.

An hour passes, and Gemini is now leaving a coffee shop. The signage shines brightly revealing branding that resembles a green siren with two tails. "Gees!" Gemini says to no one in particular.

"A gold coin and a virgin tear? What a rip off", she continues. She pauses to sip her tall cup of coffee.

"I can't afford to live here long with these prices...", Gemini laughs to herself as she wanders mindless along.

"I don't know how I'm s'posed to juggle money n' job stuff while still learning to adult.", Gemini says softly. "But if I don't I won't be able to have chocolate whenever I want again." The sound of clapping grows louder. A soft glow begins to surround Gemini.

Gemini stops walking, finally taking a moment to take in where her feet led. "I'm scared.", she realizes aloud. She looks to find herself in an alleyway. The alleyway is bathed in a eerie glowing light and the familiar sound of clapping. At the end of the path is a circus tent, the entryway opens inviting Gemini in.

The bright lights emanating from the circus entryway cascade over Gemini, elongating her shadow behind. It shifts and reshapes into a costumed performer in a neatly tied bun and a tutu. "Oh well" Gemini's voice begins to crack and alter as she speaks. "I don't need to worry about that now.", she says as she makes her way back into the circus.

Gemini disapears further into the circus tent, no longer visible becuase of the brightness of the lights inside. Posters along the side of the tent, shift and reform to reveal a new act.

The sign reveals a poster showcasing Gemini as a circus performer, clad in red jewels around her neck, a feathered bodice, and a ruffled tutu. It reads, "B&B Proudly presents, Gemini Journey in her final act! Come one, Come all! Don't miss her final performance.

A mix of petals and wil-o-wisps begin to sprout along the poster, before portions are torn and blown away in the breeze. The illustration of Gemini looks serene as the poster destroys itself in a puff of magic.

Gemini finds herself once again in her bed. Whisps of the shredded poster lie harmlessly around her. She tries to wrestle away the last vestiges of sleep. "Gemini..." Veil calls out from another room, his voice muffled by the door.

We totally snuck in a Tortoise and the Hare reference there in the second scene in the joggers.
