Ch.33 The Reprise

Gemini sighs and suddenly leans on Veil's shoulder. Veil is flustered.

"Thanks for coming for me. Even after I pushed you away." Gemini says.

"I—I pushed you, too. — So that you might not leave... the apartment" Veil responds. "mmm. I don't wanna go back either. I like living with you..."Gemini closes her eyes and slumps down.

Veil starts: "W—well, if we double down your efforts, we can—" Gemini snores "Z!". "Ah." Veil responds.

"—It's late. We ought to rest." He says. Gemini continues to snore. "Z!"

Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap.

An audience clapping.

The same audience at the circus, clapping.

The cyclops trapeze artist stands in the middle of the ring, performing to the cheering audience.

GRCK, she groans, revealing her true decaying form.

A floating jackalope backstage sucks her lifeforce.

SLLRP, the creature eats. The jackalope has the same ghostly green glow as the fox ringleaders. Flowers drip from its maw.
