Ch.28 Starved for Time

Comic, The Great Barley and Bay-Lily Circus
June 11, 2019

"Grrrr," Barley growls, staring at her paws.

"This doughy little fox pelt!" she screams loud enough to be heard from the backstage, where the animal skins hang on the rack.

"I'll peel my skin and do her in." She says. We see the rack of animal pelts from the front, showing distinct furs of fox, goose, bear, and jackalope.

Barley pulls at her face. "Barley! No!" Bay-Lily gasps.

"If we stop the show, the eye will know!" Bay-lily reminds her frustrated sister.

"We should go." She whispers to Barley, who now has more tears in her fox skin from her tugging. The rips reveal more bulbous red eyes.

"Oh! they're running out of time...So this dance doesn't have to be our last." Gemini holds her throat and whispers.

"Veil, we should run while they're—Oh!"

Veil continues to dance with Gemini. "W—we're dipping again? This is what we're doin', huh?" Gemini sweats.

"Starved for FOOD. Starved for TIME." Barley growls.

"I'm HUNGRY, Sister. The dove will be MINE!" Barley pulls at her face again.
